CHARLES DARWIN ROSE (Auspeet)
This large Shrub has a delightful strong fragrance that varies between a soft, floral tea and almost pure lemon depending on weather conditions. According to David Austin, Charles Darwin®’s blooms are some of the largest to be found in the English Roses. His flowers are very full and rounded opening to a shallow cup in a lovely shade of rich yellow similar to Old Gold. Occasionally, the 140+ petals have a lemony or sandy tint. We prefer to plant Charles Darwin® in the front of a mixed bed so he can receive the attention he deserves.
