Pas de Deux', a 2010 release from Imai Rose Garden (Hiroshima, Japan), is a 75 cm tall shrub with 10 cm deep red blooms. Its velvety cup-shaped flowers are tightly packed, often struggling to open fully, and are prone to rain damage that halts blooming. While highly floriferous with multi-headed clusters, it struggles to open in cold temperatures and produces less standard blooms in heat. A vigorous grower with dense foliage, its key drawback is poor flower opening despite lush bud formation.
